Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with 2+ years of experience, prior travel nursing experience, and an active CA RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a teaching hospital setting
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratios of 1:5 across days, nights, and weekends
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 0700-1930
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• At least 1 year of full-time equivalent specialty experience within the past 2 years required for specialized units
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Copies of all required certifications required at time of application

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred
• A screenshot confirming RTO request is required when applying
• Candidates with prior UCSD employment must disclose this at the time of application for facility approval
