Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active SC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to unit needs
• Floating required to other units or facilities based on census needs, within demonstrated competencies
• Uses EPIC for documentation and Omnicell for medication dispensing

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and blood product administration
• Preferred experience in Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, and dysrhythmia interpretation

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay rate
