Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring an active RN license and at least 1 year of recent tele experience.

Details

• M/S Telemetry unit with 28 beds
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Performs telemetry monitoring and wound care procedures
• Uses equipment including Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, glucometers, mobilab, and Welch Allyn devices
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• No on-call requirements
• May float to other M/S telemetry units or ED for inpatient hold patients

Requirements

• Active RN license (Texas or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac telemetry nursing required
• BSN preferred
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide compassionate, team-oriented patient care on a busy telemetry unit
• Royal Blue scrub color required per dress code
• Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and dependability
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
