Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Med Resp unit requiring 3+ years of nursing experience, EPIC charting, and Level 1 Trauma background.
Details
- Hospital-based Med/Surg Respiratory unit (7C Med Resp)
- 12-hour day shifts, 7am-7:30pm, 3 days per week
- Weekend and holiday shifts required on a rotating basis
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Uses EPIC EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and continuous evaluation
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
- Responsible for identifying and reporting patient and employee safety hazards
- Supports professional development of peers and participates in departmental competencies
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO limited to no more than 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be on assignment longer than 1 year at Carle Health without a 6-month break in service
