Description

American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications with Epic charting experience.

Details

• Emergency Department with 12 rooms serving a combined adult/pediatric population
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
• Weekend shifts required
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, TNCC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skills in managing pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, and neurological emergencies preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and 12-lead EKG preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and various emergency medications preferred
• Ortho trauma and splinting skills preferred

Additional Information

• Work in a Level I/II Trauma Center that is also STEMI and Stroke certified
• Provide emergency care across general adult and pediatric populations
• Perform triage and isolation precaution/PPE protocols
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
