Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Call and floating required on an as-needed basis
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required in-hand
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required within the past 2 years
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
• Experienced in IV therapy, arterial line and central line management
• Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experienced in ETT and NT suctioning
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE use
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Collaborate with the care team to manage complex, critically ill patients
• Candidates must be gone a minimum of 1 year from permanent staff status to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
