Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 18:30-06:30, 36/48 rotating schedule
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• Float requirement to all areas
• Holiday requirement every other holiday
• No on-call requirement
• Epic charting system required
• Patient population includes adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU
• Experience with ECMO, bronchoscopy, high frequency ventilation, and neonatal/pediatric procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, higher experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, CRT or RRT, NRP
• LA state license required if applicable
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high frequency oscillator, and SIMV
• Skilled in airway management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with arterial blood gas draws and interpretation
• Experience with medication delivery systems and administration including aerosol setups, MDIs, and various respiratory medications

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU settings
• Perform intubation assist, extubation, and ventilator weaning
• Conduct chest physiotherapy and pulmonary hygiene procedures
• Participate in inter-departmental and ambulance patient transport
• Candidates must have been separated from any LCMC facility for at least 1 year if previously employed there
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate
• First-time travelers considered only if not otherwise restricted
• RTO should be limited to minimize impact on scheduling
