Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ year of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification to work as a lone technologist on a mobile MRI unit.

Details

• Acute care setting working as a mobile MRI unit for a neuroscience institute
• Single scanner room with Siemens equipment
• Performs brain, spine, MRA, body (abdomen, pelvis, chest), and MSK (long bone, joints) imaging studies
• Average of 14 scans/studies per day
• Uses EPIC EMR and Fuji PACS systems
• 2x12 hour day shifts per week scheduled Monday-Friday between 6:45am-7:15pm
• No floating to other areas required
• No weekend, holiday, or call/standby requirements
• Radiologist on-site with Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech support
• Staffing model includes 1 Tech with 2 TAs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• WV MRI license required if applicable
• Must be able to start IVs
• Strong physician communication skills required
• Must be comfortable working independently as a lone technologist

Additional Information

• Responsible for performing MRI studies across multiple body systems including brain, spine, MRA, body, and MSK imaging
• Works closely with on-site radiologist and supervisory support
• No self-scheduling or block scheduling offered
• Grey scrubs required but not provided
• New mobile unit setup, with opportunity to help establish operations
• Local candidates not accepted due to radius requirements
