Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact RN license and 2+ years of ER experience.

Details

• Work in a 24-hour Emergency Department within a 97-bed acute care hospital
• Patient population spans all ages, from pediatric to geriatric
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Rare floating required, only to units appropriate to skillset or as a set of hands
• Uses Meditech EHR

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2+ years of ER nursing experience required
• Proficient in ER skills including phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
• Self-motivated and self-sufficient with ability to perform all ER tasks independently
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide emergency nursing care to a wide range of patients while maintaining a positive patient and family experience
• Team-oriented personality valued within the ER department
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
