Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring SC or compact RN license and EPIC experience.

Details

• Inpatient Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
• Patients may receive IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
• Performs vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours from 1900 to 0730
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating required to similar units or other facilities depending on census needs

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac telemetry unit required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Additional Information

• Provide direct care and monitoring for cardiac and multisystem telemetry patients
• Orientation occurs every Monday along with annual compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience
