Description
American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level IV academic teaching hospital NICU, requiring 1+ years of Level III or higher NICU experience.
Details
- Work in a 40-bed Level IV NICU at an academic teaching hospital
- May float between neonatal and pediatric units depending on facility needs
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- Holiday rotation every other holiday
- No on-call requirement
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Scrubs provided
Requirements
- RRT certification required
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level III or higher NICU, or 1 year PICU experience
- License required if applicable
- Pennsylvania Fingerprints required prior to start
- Skills required include Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, extubation, and intubation assist
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care to critically ill and extremely premature infants in a Level IV NICU with on-site neonatal surgery and 24/7 neonatology coverage
- Work within an academic teaching hospital setting as part of a comprehensive neonatal care team
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate for those residing within 50 miles of the facility
- Planned time off must be submitted prior to assignment start and cannot interfere with completion of pre-start compliance requirements
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
