Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry unit requiring 2 years of cardiac/tele experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for MS, MS/Tele, and Tele patients, including post-MI and pre/post cardiac surgery patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Floating required to all care areas as needed
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• May require holiday coverage participation

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac/telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, renal failure, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Experience with IV therapy, chest tubes, nasal cannulas, and wound care
• IMC experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct care for cardiac and telemetry patients including dysrhythmia monitoring and post-surgical management
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided or permitted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted
• Clinicians may not work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility; a 6-month break is required before returning
