Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRTT/RRT) for a community hospital night shift position requiring at least 1-2 years of experience and Florida state licensure.

Details

• Acute care community hospital setting with 210 staffed beds
• Provide respiratory care across ICU, ER, Cardiac Cath Lab, Medical/Medical-Surgical floors, PACU, and Labor and Delivery/Nursery
• 13-week assignment on night shift (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Required equipment experience includes Servo I, Servo U, V60, AirVO2 (High Flow), bubble CPAP, and EV300

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS
• RRT certification preferred
• Active Florida State License required at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Experience with end-tidal CO2 monitoring, tracheostomy care, and brain death apnea testing required
• Exercise desaturation study experience required
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway management devices required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients including high-risk deliveries
• Perform intubation/extubation assistance, suctioning, and tracheostomy care/management
• Participate in pulmonary hygiene, pulmonary function testing, and sputum specimen collection
• Scrubs may be any plain color or pattern, provided they are free of logos from other hospital systems or sports teams
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
• Holiday coverage required based on number of holidays falling within the assignment, including at least one evening and one holiday shift
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted, subject to manager approval, with no RTO allowed during the first or last week of the assignment
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
