Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care Float position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a MA RN license in hand.

Details

• Critical Care Float unit covering Medical and Surgical Intensive Care
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and managing emergency medications
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Two professional references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Float role supporting critical care units including MICU and SICU
• Must pass a Pass/Fail Tele EKG test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed
• Must pass a Pass/Fail Medication exam during orientation
• Pre-start and orientation modules required, completed in Workday
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, though none allowed during the first week
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
