Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications along with active PA or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work on a Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse, teaching hospital, and community hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry interpretation
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience managing respiratory interventions such as BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation preferred
• SSN, DOB, RTO, and valid driver's license required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias
• Manage patients with cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and respiratory conditions
• Support rapid response and code team interventions as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years before applying through an agency
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year within the health system must wait two years before returning for another assignment
• Travel pairs may be considered based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be finalized by the Wednesday prior to the start date
• Approximately 1 hour of pre-start training modules required before entering the facility
