Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray for a day-shift teaching hospital assignment requiring ARRT (R) certification and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Work in the Radiology department of a 298-bed teaching hospital
• Day shift, 7:30 AM-2:00 PM, 30 hours per week guaranteed Monday-Friday
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• On-call required to cover absences
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with 1 year current experience required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• MA Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• Must have reliable personal transportation

Additional Information

• Perform a wide variety of technical radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications along with PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems
• May be assigned supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as needed
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation per hospital and OSHA standards
• Attend annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control training
• Maintain continuing education in both radiology and mammography
• Must work two major holiday blocks if scheduled, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year periods with surrounding weekends
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and all RTO must be submitted prior to offer
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Does not allow compact license
