Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift float position requiring 2+ years of experience and work throughout the entire hospital.

Details

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Float position covering adult critical care, emergency department, and pediatric critical care areas throughout the hospital
• Floating is mandatory across all hospital units as assigned
• Work every other weekend and 50% of holidays
• Block scheduling allowed
• Cerner charting system preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current RRT certification required (CRT not accepted)
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Active MO state or Compact license required in hand - no pending licenses accepted
• License required if applicable
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care and neuro diagnostics services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
• Perform ventilator management, ABG interpretation, airway management, and medication delivery across varied patient populations
• Experience with ECMO, oscillating ventilators, high-frequency ventilation, and CPAP/BiPAP preferred
• Work in a healthcare facility operating 24/7/365, including during inclement weather
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Candidates residing 51-74 miles away may be offered at a local rate
• Maximum RTO of 10 days with none permitted during the first week due to orientation requirements
