Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with 1+ year of experience in general X-ray procedures and C-arm operation in surgery.

Details

• Work in a hospital radiology department performing diagnostic imaging across multiple settings including Emergency Department, OR, ICU, NICU, PICU, and acute care units
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric acute and outpatient cases
• Performs general radiographic procedures including abdomen, chest, spine, pelvis, upper and lower extremity, head, and trauma imaging
• Performs fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, and upper GI series
• Performs mobile/surgical imaging including C-arm procedures, portable chest, and portable abdomen
• Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba imaging equipment along with PACS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Shift options include 4x12 hour day shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) or 4x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• On-call is voluntary and not required
• May be required to float between sister facilities nearby

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in X-ray procedures required
• ARRT(R) and BLS certification required
• Experience running C-arms in surgery required
• WA state license required in hand at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Experience with infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and radiation safety
• Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Epic charting system experience required

• First-time travelers accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Former Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position
• Local candidates accepted, though a 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
• 2 supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
