Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures with 3-5 years of experience and NJ radiographic licensure to assist with complex vascular and neuro-interventional cases.

Details

• Radiology Special Procedures unit performing complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
• 4x10 day shifts from 7a-5p, AM shift
• On-call rotation of 1 week including weekend, every 3rd week, with weekday call 5p-7a and weekend call 7a-7a
• Uses floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines and power injection of iodinated contrast media devices
• Utilizes Epic EMR and Sectra/PACS system for imaging
• May float to sister hospital as needed

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardio-Vascular Technologist
• NJ radiographic licensure required
• BLS certification from an AHA-approved or accredited provider
• Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification
• High School Diploma/GED and an Associate degree or completion of an accredited radiographic program
• Proficiency in sterile technique and infection prevention measures
• Strong communication skills utilizing closed loop communication
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Scrub in alongside proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
• Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedures
• Operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during procedures
• Perform groin management post-intervention
• Document in EMR and transmit images to Sectra/PACS system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
• Provide high quality care in a fast-paced environment
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break prior to a new assignment
