Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring Trauma Level I experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in the ICU, including Neuro and Surgical Intensive Care units
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Med/Surg (1:5 ratio) and ED holding areas, based on census
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, including non-travel staff experience at a facility
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Trauma Level I hospital experience required
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, and vasoactive drip titration
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, EVD, and ICP monitoring
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• 1 professional reference required (within 2 years)
• Nursys report required, pulled within 2 weeks of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients, including neuro and surgical critical care cases
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Requested time off must be submitted and pre-approved at time of consideration; no additional time off requests after submission
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within 50 miles of the facility
• Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
