Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CCU RN with 2+ years of cardiac critical care experience for a day shift assignment requiring a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (0700-1930)
• Floating required to ICU, PCU, Tele, Med/Surg, and ED holding based on census
• Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Must pass EKG exam
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/arterial line management, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory therapies (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC)
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, CVVHD/CRRT, and continuous IV sedation
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures including CABG, IABP, TAVR, Impella, and cardiac cath pre/post care
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• 1 professional reference required within the past 2 years
• Current Nursys report required within 2 weeks of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac patients including post cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology cases
• Work within a Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU care setting
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays per RTO policy
• Requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to consideration
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced
• Previous permanent staff at the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
