Description

American Traveler is hiring an Oncology RN with CA licensure, 2+ years of oncology/med-surg-tele experience, and ONS Chemo certification for a day-shift hospital assignment.

Details

• Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Med/Surg, Med/Tele, and ED units based on census
• Uses Epic for documentation
• Self-scheduling available

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ONS Chemo certification required; OCN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• IVIG experience required
• Med/Surg-Tele and telemetry skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring experience required
• One professional reference required (within 2 years)
• Current Nursys report required (pulled within 2 weeks of consideration)

Additional Information

• Provide oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
• Perform cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management as needed
• Requested time off must be pre-approved by the manager and submitted at time of consideration; no additional time off can be added afterward
• First-time travelers will be considered if they meet experience requirements
• Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at a lower bill rate
