Description

American Traveler is hiring an Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring CA RN licensure, chemo certification, and IVIG experience.

Details

• Oncology unit setting with Med/Surg and Telemetry patient care
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 1900-0730
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Med/Surg, Med/Tele, and ED units based on census
• Uses Epic for documentation

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ONS Chemo certification required
• OCN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
• IVIG experience required
• Med/Surg and Telemetry skills required
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience administering and monitoring chemotherapy
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry remote monitoring
• One professional reference required within the last 2 years
• Current Nursys verification required, pulled within 2 weeks of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Perform IV therapy, line management, and blood product administration as needed
• Manage respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Support patients with CVA and pre/post neurosurgical needs
• Manage wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted for consideration and is subject to manager discretion
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for consideration
