Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active IL license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

Medical Surgical unit, including Adult Med-Surg, Med-Surg Ortho, and Telemetry Med/Surg populations
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
13-week assignment length

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required

Additional Information

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing standards, policies, and state regulations
Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
Document patient care according to established standards
Participate in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plans of care across departments
Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
COVID-19 vaccination required
