Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring tele strip interpretation and prior travel experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours blocked (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• May float to IMCU (stepdown) as needed, within skill set
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Must be able to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, use of rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions/PPE, and respiratory care (nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management)
• Two supervisor references required, with specific timing rules for submission and after offer acceptance
• SSN, DOB, and RTO required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg Tele patients including dysrhythmia monitoring and respiratory support
• Participate in orientation modules averaging 3-4 hours, generally completed during orientation
• Badge photo (passport-style) required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies
• Travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year separation from a previous assignment
• Travel pairs accepted
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced rate
