Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with Trauma Level I experience and scrub/circulate proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room unit of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Evening shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 15:00 to 23:30
• 40 hours per week
• Must be able to circulate and scrub across specialties including transplant, liver/kidney, endoscopy, vascular, neuro, trauma, cardiac, general surgery, pediatrics, and microsurgery
• Call rotation of one night every third weekend
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days of the week

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must have hands-on scrub experience in specialty surgical areas

Additional Information

• Provide circulating and scrub nursing support for a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, neuro, cardiovascular, general, pediatric, orthopedic, ENT, and transplant surgeries
• Must complete a Pass/Fail EKG/Tele competency test during orientation with one attempt to pass
• Must complete a Pass/Fail Medication exam during orientation
• Additional training modules required pre-start and during orientation, with annual renewal
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius for RNs
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
