Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a general ICU setting requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and a current CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the only general ICU within the hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 3x12-hour shifts, both day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) available
• Weekend requirement of 6-8 shifts per 6-week schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required based on unit needs, with rare floating to other facilities within the metro region
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia management and multisystem organ dysfunction care
• Experience with intake/output monitoring and renal failure management

• Care for critically ill patients with complex medical, surgical, neurological, and respiratory conditions
• Completion of all facility-specific modules required within the first week of assignment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during peak holiday and high-census times
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted

• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
