Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role requiring 2+ years of ER experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Critical access hospital ED with 8 beds
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (6:00pm-6:00am)
• Weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage required
• No call, charge, or float responsibilities
• Uses CPSI EMR system
• Blocked schedule requests may be considered if submitted with profile

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV starts and triage
• Minimum 2 Manager/Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required

Additional Information

• Scrubs not provided; wine and/or white color required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of Vandalia Health System (including CAMC, Mon Health, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for this travel contract
• Orientation is held every other Monday
• Non-billable training modules required prior to start date, averaging 2-6 hours to complete
• Previous probationary license actions reviewed on a case-by-case basis
