Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 5+ years of experience performing adult and pediatric echocardiograms.
Details
- Perform echocardiography procedures across adult and pediatric patient populations
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
- Current BLS and ARDMS or CCI certification required
- RDCS and CCI RCS certifications preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency in adult and pediatric 2-D and 3-D echo, color Doppler, M-Mode, portable studies, and routine imaging
- Experience with TEE, treadmill and pharmacologic stress echo, bubble studies, and contrast imaging preferred
- Pediatric scanning experience with complex anomalies and post-surgical repairs preferred
- Experience performing calculations such as diastology, LV strain/volume, PISA, and Simpson's Rule
- Experience with GE and Philips equipment and PACS system
- Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG preferred
- Experience performing procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings
- Comfortable using isolation precautions and PPE
Additional Information
- Perform adult and pediatric echocardiographic studies including routine, portable, and specialized imaging
- Work in adult acute care and outpatient settings
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Accepts local candidates within 50 mile radius at local rate
- Former perm staff must be separated for 5 years before becoming eligible as a traveler
- RTO should be kept to a minimum, with no requests during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks off during the assignment
- Candidates should expect to work some holidays
