Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RRT for a night shift position requiring newborn experience and the ability to work independently across all patient age groups.

Details

• Work in the Pulmonary Medicine department of an 83-bed rural hospital
• Cover respiratory needs for all ages, from infant deliveries to elderly patients
• Includes coverage of ER and ICU patients as well as high-risk deliveries and trauma cases
• No NICU on site, but facility has Labor & Delivery
• Use ventilators, BiPAPs, high flows, and all oxygen delivery systems
• Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends
• On-call back-up available

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• NYS DOH license required if applicable
• Minimum 3 years of experience required, 5+ years preferred
• Newborn experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• NRP and PALS certifications preferred
• Two professional references from previous managers required for consideration

• Work independently on night shift covering a broad range of respiratory care needs
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates with prior work history at Northwell or Nuvance Health locations may be subject to an additional eligibility review process
