Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3+ years of interventional procedure experience and ARRT RT(R) certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology department providing care for patients undergoing peripheral vascular and interventional vascular procedures
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• One weeknight of call plus a rotating call schedule every 4-5 weeks
• Travelers float between two facilities for ICU/ICCU coverage and are expected to float within scope as needed
• Uses Epic charting system with a test-out option available

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of interventional procedure experience required
• ARRT RT(R) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program or Radiological Technologist Program with current ARRT registration
• High school diploma required; Associate's degree required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• VA license or compact license required if applicable
• Experience with procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, chemoembolization, stent placement, angiography, liver biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and vascular closure systems
• Skilled in equipment setup, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing

• Collaborates with physicians and care teams to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care according to current policies and procedures
• Performs a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, and interventional radiology procedures
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• No mile radius rule in place
• One reference required at submission
• RTO must be finalized prior to submission and cannot exceed 10 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO preferred during the first week of assignment
• Former employees must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler, with case-by-case exceptions considered
