Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring telemetry skills and a passing EKG compliance exam.

Details

• Work in a 45-bed all-private Progressive Care Unit with East and West sides on the fourth floor
• Rooms are remotely monitored by a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required with holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS required, NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips required, titration skills preferred
• BiPAP/CPAP management and non-invasive airway management skills required
• Experience with chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac) required
• Copy of current driver's license required for address verification

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within the PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown setting
• Manage patients with endocrine/metabolic needs including insulin drip titration
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, no local rates apply
