Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience and IABP/Impella/STEMI skills.
Details
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit of a Short Term Acute Care hospital with 418 staffed beds
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- On-call required 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month
- Floating between units based on need, including sister facilities within the state
- No weekend shifts required outside of on-call
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Experience with IABP, Impella, and STEMI cases required
- IR, Neuro, and Stroke experience required
- Epic experience preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Skills in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, sheath removal/monitoring, 12 lead EKG/ECG, and vascular closure systems
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and PCI
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab settings
- Perform or assist with interventional cardiac, vascular, neurological, and GI procedures as needed
- Scrub color is any color for this unit
- Must disclose any prior employment history with a Providence facility as part of the application process
- Returning former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
