Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN with at least 2 years of ED experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on staffing and patient volume
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Required to work 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to any Cone Health campus as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Skill in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and triage preferred
• Current driver's license required to verify address

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and orthopedic cases
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, with no local rate option
