Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Step-Down position requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and a GA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Pulmonary/Thoracic Intermediate Care (Step-Down) unit
- Care for intermediate medical patients, including high-risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery populations
- Patients may require respiratory support ranging from room air to BIPAP or Optiflow
- 12-hour day shifts with schedule varying between 7a-7p
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a related specialty required
- AHA BLS certification required
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to a diverse population of intermediate and step-down level patients
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Previous staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break since their last employment with the facility
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer and cannot be requested after
