Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN with neuro telemetry and surgical/vascular post-op experience for an 8-week contract in Naperville, IL.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit caring for neuro telemetry patients with CVA/TIA, subdurals, and seizure disorders
• Surgical oncology post-op recovery care for patients following whipples, esophagectomies, and colon resections (no chemo administration)
• Vascular surgery patients post peripheral angiograms, PAD with wounds, and post-amputation care
• 12-hour day shifts starting at 07:00
• Every other weekend required (Saturday/Sunday)
• Floating to like units required
• No on-call requirements
• 8-week contract length

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; temporary licenses accepted with proof of permanent license application submission
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• 2+ years of RN experience required, including travel experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• New graduates not accepted
• 2 current supervisor/manager/charge references from the relevant specialty area within the last year required
• At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

• Provide post-op recovery and neuro telemetry nursing care within a Med/Surg unit
• Holiday coverage required as needed for any major or minor holiday falling within the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Maximum RTO of 3 days for this 8-week contract
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Candidates will participate in a short facility interview as part of the hiring process
