Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Oncology position offering Monday-Friday day shifts with no prior oncology experience required.

Details

• Outpatient Cancer Center setting with 27 chairs caring for an average of 50 patients per day
• Provides oncology, non-oncology, and supportive treatments
• Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts from 0800-1630
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• ONS Chemotherapy Administration Provider Card preferred
• Must reside within 75 miles or accept local pay rate
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for oncology patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities with patient and family-centered education
• Collaborate with inter-professional care team members and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates living outside the 75-mile radius accepted at travel rate, while local candidates accepted at a lower rate
