Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with required Cath Lab experience and Fluoroscopy certification to perform cardiac and vascular radiographic procedures.

Details

Works in the Cardiac Cath Lab department performing cardiovascular radiographic examinations and interventional procedures
Operates diagnostic imaging equipment, angio cardiogram systems, and fluoroscopy/cinefluorography equipment
Day shift options including 7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm
Call requirements include after-hours coverage, every other weekend, and two weeknights per week

Requirements

RT (Radiologic Technologist) license required in state of practice
License required if applicable
BLS certification required
Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification required
TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification required
Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
Cath Lab experience required, similar in scope to an IR Tech role
Minimum of three years of experience in specialty preferred
Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
ARRT certification preferred
Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred

Additional Information

Performs active radiographic interventional procedures using complex cardiovascular lab equipment
Positions and instructs patients for cardiac catheterization exams, operates contrast injection systems, and assists physicians with specialized procedures
Enters technical imaging factors and adjusts equipment per physician instructions during procedures
Opportunity to mentor and train staff on technical skills
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
Candidates with a prior license hit will not be considered
No radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
