Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with required Cath Lab experience and RT licensure to perform cardiac and vascular radiographic procedures.

Details

• Cath Lab department performing cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations
• Role similar to an IR Tech, performing active radiographic interventional procedures using complex cardiovascular equipment
• Variable shift options including 7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm
• Call requirements include every other weekend and 2 weeknights per week

Requirements

• Cath Lab experience required
• Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in Cath Lab preferred
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred, Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred
• Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred
• Radiologic Tech (RT) license in state of practice required
• ARRT certification preferred
• BLS certification required
• Fluoroscopy certification required
• TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs angiocardiograms during cardiac catheterization to aid physicians in diagnostic evaluation and treatment
• Positions and immobilizes patients using head and shoulder braces following specified protocols
• Assists physicians with specialized procedures and exams
• Enters technical imaging factors and filming sequences per protocol
• Operates examining table, x-ray tube, and fluoroscope/cinefluorography equipment under physician direction
• Starts automatic contrast medium injections during procedures
• Models, mentors, and trains staff on technical skills
• Provides input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
