Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an acute care hospital and outpatient clinic setting, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Covers both hospital and outpatient clinic settings
• Acute Care Hospital with Magnet, Teaching, and Level II Trauma designations
• 479 staffed beds
• Day shift, 4x9 hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Flexible 9 and 10 hour day shifts, 36-40 hours per week
• Works every 4th weekend
• Uses Epic charting system
• Equipment includes GE and Siemens MRI systems, PACS

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• Previous travel experience required
• BLS and ARRT R certifications required
• ARRT MR certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Experience with IV starts and contrast media administration/preparation
• ER/Trauma experience required
• Abdomen/Pelvis imaging experience required
• Skilled in abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal MRI imaging
• Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, MIP, MRP, and perfusion
• Cardiovascular MRI experience including MR Aortogram preferred

Additional Information

• Perform MRI imaging across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular studies
• Administer and prepare contrast media and start peripheral IVs as needed
• Required to work holidays as needed by the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted with none during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All time off requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of submission
• Local candidates within 25 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Must complete required lab work and Livescan fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing, with fingerprinting completed in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to start date
• Vaccine exemption requests require appropriate documentation submitted with profile
