Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a Med-Surg North setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, cath lab, and neurosurgery cases alongside general med-surg patients
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Uses Epic for charting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30), various days of the week
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• 18 total staffed beds
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of charge experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience with pre/post neurosurgical and pre/post cardiac surgery patient care preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across a mixed cardiac and med-surg patient population, including post-angiogram, post-cardiac surgery, and post-MI patients
• Complete all facility-specific modules within the first week of assignment
• First-time travelers accepted as long as experience requirements are met
• Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain weeks
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose prior employment details
• Candidates who applied to UCHealth's internal travel or perm staff positions within the last two years are not eligible for consideration
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for consideration
