Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring Level 1 ICU experience and MO or compact licensure.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Medical ICU
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend required, with flexibility based on staffing needs
• No call requirements
• Floating required between ICU and Telemetry units
• Meditech EMR experience strongly preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required for this unit

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center ICU experience required for first-time travelers
• Experience with Impella and balloon pump required
• Stroke care and STEMI care experience required
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care
• Experience with arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
• Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and emergency medications
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• IV insulin protocol experience
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients
• Care for patients requiring advanced cardiac, respiratory, and neurological interventions
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet Level 1 ICU experience requirement
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
