Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with required Cath Lab experience to perform cardiac and vascular radiographic procedures in a busy cardiovascular lab.

Details

• Cath Lab department within a hospital setting
• Variable shift schedule including options such as 7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm
• Role similar to an IR Tech
• Call requirements include after-hours coverage, every other weekend, and two weeknights per week
• Performs active radiographic interventional procedures using complex cardiovascular equipment

Requirements

• Cath Lab experience required
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) license required in the state of practice (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
• Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB), TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification required
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent preferred
• ARRT certification preferred
• Three years of technical experience preferred, with experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred
• Minimum of three years of specialty experience in Cath Lab required for consideration
• Recent experience within the last three months in the specialty required for consideration
• Cerner and/or Epic experience must be noted in employment history if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs and assists with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations, including angiocardiograms during cardiac catheterization
• Positions and immobilizes patients using head and shoulder braces following specified protocols
• Assists physicians with specialized interventional procedures
• Models, mentors, and trains staff on technical skills
• Provides input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rates with no radius rule
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
