Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift assignment requiring EPIC experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting serving combined adult/pediatric patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• 13 or 18-week winter contract options available
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Floating required at facility discretion, including to other Premier Health campuses (Dayton, Centerville, Englewood) and into high-risk respiratory/COVID units
• Patient ratio of 1:4

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license required
• BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum 1.5 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI/AVADE/CalmEveryStorm
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across general adult/pediatric populations, including trauma, stroke, and STEMI cases
• Facility is a Stroke and STEMI certified facility
• Up to 24 hours of orientation modules are billable
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, with no schedule requests or RTO negotiated after an offer is made
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Previous PERM/PRN staff or prior agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying and require facility rehire approval
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
