Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN with pediatric OR experience for a day-shift position requiring NC or compact licensure and weekly call coverage.

Details

• 8-bay Post Anesthesia Care Unit providing immediate postoperative care
• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays, typically one night per week
• Weekend and holiday shifts required
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Floating required to units with similar or lower acuity levels as needed
• Meditech charting system experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required
• Minimum one year of Main Hospital PACU experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required

Additional Information

• Manage patient airways, pain levels, vital signs, and other postoperative needs before transfer to the Ambulatory Surgery Unit
• Work as part of a collaborative, team-based Surgical Services department alongside board-certified surgeons
• Use the latest surgical technology and equipment in a patient-focused environment
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Requested time off must be submitted upfront and is limited to a maximum of 5 days, subject to manager approval
