Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring telemetry expertise and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with mixed acuity including telemetry, med/surg, and occasional ICU patients
• Patient ratio of 1:3-6
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts, 18:30-07:00
• Weekend rotation required with every other holiday worked
• Standby call as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Cerner charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (WI State or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU required within the last 3 years
• First-time travelers must have at least 3 years of experience in a hybrid unit
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to assignment start
• Skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to patients with mixed acuity including cardiac telemetry, step-down, and occasional ICU-level needs
• Monitor and manage dysrhythmias and respond using Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
