Description

American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, requiring BSN, Cerner experience, and at least 2 years of IRF or med-surg nursing experience.

Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital with 62 beds
• Patients include adults and geriatric populations recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic conditions
• Patient ratios of 6-7:1 for RN/LPN and 10:1 for CNA
• 12-hour day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required, though scheduling may occur on either of two nursing floors
• Uses Cerner EHR and Omnicell medication dispensing system

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• BSN or higher required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; new grads not considered
• Required experience in IRF (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility) and Med-Surg settings
• Cerner EHR experience required
• Preferred experience in step-down units, wound care, and respiratory treatment including BiPAP/CPAP
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative nursing care within a multidisciplinary team supporting neuro, ortho, and cancer rehabilitation diagnoses

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Report time is 0645 or 1845 depending on shift assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel assignment
• Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months disqualifies candidates
• Candidates may not be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
