Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment requiring NJ or compact RN license and floating to multiple critical care and step-down units.

Details

• Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital
• 12-hour day shifts from 7a-7p, 3 days per week
• Requires floating to Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, PACU, Cardiac PACU, CCU, Med/Surg Step Down, Neurovascular Step Down, and Cardiac Step Down as needed
• May float to a sister hospital nearby
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Skills checklist, license verification, NURSYS report, and 2 references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric
• Deliver competent clinical care and respond effectively to emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative assessment, education, and support for surgical patients
• Holiday coverage required for one winter and one summer holiday
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date before requiring a break
