Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and ONS Chemo & Biotherapy certification.

Details

• Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Temporary or Permanent, no EMSA) in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ONS Chemo & Biotherapy certification required
• Minimum 2 years of concurrent experience in oncology specialty
• Recent travel nursing experience required, with 6+ months of continuous travel experience leading up to consideration
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months
• 1 supervisory-level professional reference required
• Valid copies of all required certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide oncology nursing care including chemotherapy and biotherapy administration
• Interview availability required, including same-day and next 3 business days preferred
• Maximum 7 days RTO permitted, with no additional requests after consideration
• Candidates must live outside a 100-mile radius to be eligible (except LVNs/MAs)
• Candidates on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months or longer are considered local and not eligible
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Returning staff and travelers may reapply after a 1-year waiting period
• Extensions capped at 1 year maximum, followed by a required 1-year break before returning
