Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and 2 years of acute care hospital experience.

Details

• 32-bed Medical Surgical unit within an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes young adult, middle adult, and older adult patients
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• May float to other acute care units including Ortho/Trauma and Observation units
• Cerner EHR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care including implementing and monitoring patient care plans
• Coordinate care across disciplines and manage physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving and Christmas
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate due to facility radius rule
